It’s safe to say that Pippa Middleton’s wedding has been the wedding of the year so far, with everyone agreeing she got most things right.
If she’s inspired you to go for a floral marquee style wedding then take a look at this beautiful themed shoot organised by Boutique Marquees, with photography by Lee Bishop Photography.
Clare from Boutique Marquees explains:
“We planned a greenery and gold themed photo shoot to show case what Boutique Marquees can offer. The photo shoot features our rustic chic decor theme consisting of gorgeous, rustic wooden tables and cross back chairs, chunky brass candlesticks, faux greenery garlands and of course plenty of twinkling lights!
“Flowers were kept simple to reflect the relaxed nature of this decor style. Tables were decorated with the faux garlands and featured white and gold china, along with vintage glassware.
“We worked with suppliers who complemented and shared our take on laid back luxe and we had a blast!”

I have to admit, if there is one wedding term that annoys me a little, it’s mini-moon. I think that wherever you choose to go on your hols for the first time as husband and wife then it’s your honeymoon and people shouldn’t feel the need to play it down and call it a mini-moon just because it’s in the UK or it’s just for a few days.
UK honeymoons have so many advantages; cost, time, no airports and of course all that the amazing British countryside, coast or cities have to offer.
If you’re thinking of Devon or Cornwall for your honeymoon then Little Derricott is the perfect choice. The cottage, along with its array of finishing touches, is designed specifically for couples. There’s a fabulous hot tub, large comfy lounge, outside dining area, large bedroom, cute kitchen and a roll top bath.
Located in north Devon it’s close to Bude as well as not too far from Padstow, Bodmin and endless stunning coastlines.
Closer to the cottage there is a great pub in the pretty village of Pyworthy just a 30 minute walk up the road, and there’s a supermarket in the town of Holsworthy just a 5 minute drive away.
There are also endless walks close to the cottage including the Cornish Way cycling and walking route.
This is a beautiful cottage with so many lovely extras added by the owner such as a welcome pack, Mr and Mrs bunting and robes, that it’s a real home from home (with a little bit of extra romance thrown in).
